About Halform
It started with resetting my watch.
Whenever my watch ran down, I had to set the time, date, and day again. I wanted a winder I would enjoy looking at, with my watch properly on display.
The starting point
A different approach to the watch winder.
Most winders I came across followed a familiar formula: a box wrapped in leather, with little variation in shape. I wanted something more interesting to look at, with materials that felt as good as they looked.

My background is in mechanical and aerospace engineering. I designed Halform Winder’s mechanics and circuit boards myself. Here in Montreal, I solder the electronics, fabricate selected components, apply the colour and clear coat, and carry out assembly and quality control.
